The “secret” of cooking rice with vegetables in a pan

Some people believe that if pilaf is made from rice, it must be crumbly, and if it is rice with vegetables, then you don't have to worry about this. In fact, crumbly rice with vegetables is an ideal side dish for fish. Let's tell you how to cook just such a dish.

To prepare you will need:

  • 2 cups of rice;
  • 400 gr. vegetable mixture;
  • 4 cups of water;
  • spices to taste;
  • vegetable oil.

How to cook

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

Throw the finished cereal on a sieve to drain the water and dry the cereal.

Now prepare the vegetables, which need to be defrosted (if frozen) and stewed with oil in a pan for 10 minutes.

The vegetable mixture is evenly distributed throughout the pan and when ready, the dried rice is spread. Then everything is fried for 2 minutes over medium heat.

Now add the spices, mix, add four cups of boiling water and cover with a lid.

Cook like this for 15 minutes. When ready, open the pan, stir the mixture and fry for another 4 minutes, uncovered. Serve hot.
