Only 5-10% of summer residents who grow winter garlic can boast bulbs weighing 100 g. Such garlic is considered large. An additional point of pride is the even and aromatic cloves, which are so good in a salad or other dish. Such a crop can be grown by any gardener who follows certain rules.

The secret lies in a series of actions that must be taken when the garlic leaves are already rising above the ground.
The summer residents rake the excess soil from the heads of garlic, opening them by 2-3 cm.
Manipulations do not end there. The next measure should be carried out at the end of June or the beginning of July.
This time, the soil is removed again, but it is done so that the head of garlic is half sticking out of the ground. Experienced summer residents claim that the result will be noticeable in a week or two. The bulbs will pour and increase in size.
