The secret of making delicious gravy for chicken

In cooking there are recipes for special sauces, thanks to which even the simplest dish becomes interesting and tasty. In addition, gravies are much healthier and tastier than store-bought sauces, since all the components are natural and of high quality.

  • about 700 grams of chicken breast;
  • 1 large onion;
  • for one and a half spoons of tomato paste and wheat flour;
  • a small spoon of sugar;
  • 40-50 g of butter;
  • 2 spoons of oil;
  • a few bay leaves and allspice each;
  • 700 ml of clean water;
  • salt and spices to your taste.

How to cook

First you need to heat a pan with any oil and start frying the onion. We cook it for almost two minutes.

Then we add the cubed chicken fillet, mix and add the specified amount of sugar. When the onion and chicken acquire a beautiful golden color, then you can transfer the components to the pan.

Pour in water, wait until it boils and simmer under the lid on low heat for half an hour. At the end of cooking, you should “steal” about 1.5 cups of broth.

Meanwhile, melt butter in a pan. If desired, you can again add a little vegetable oil. Add flour and mix it thoroughly so that there are no unpleasant lumps in the gravy.

When the mixture takes on a caramel shade, you can add broth, chicken with onions, spices, salt and tomato paste.

Bring the mass to a homogeneous state, cover with a lid and cook for another ten minutes.

Chicken with this sauce can decorate any side dish.
