The “secret” to making a delicious meatball sauce

A simple dish from minced meat, continues to be popular to this day. A special sauce plays an important role here, which can be prepared by any housewife without special culinary skills.

Ingredients for meatballs:

  • ground beef – 800 g;
  • rice – 200 g;
  • onion – 200 g;
  • carrot – 150 g;
  • egg – 1 pc.;
  • salt – 1 tsp. l.;
  • black pepper – to taste.

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • tomato paste – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • sour cream – 3 tbsp. spoons;
  • salt – 1 tsp. spoon;
  • water – 0.5 l;
  • oil – 3 tbsp. spoons.

First, the meat is passed through a meat grinder and the rice is steamed with boiling water. Carrots are grated on a medium grater, onions are cut into cubes. Mix all the components, add pepper and salt to taste, and then add 1 egg.

Sauce

In a deep container, pour sour cream, tomato paste, water and oil. Mix thoroughly so that there are no lumps and add salt.

Form balls from the minced meat and place on a sheet. Pour the sauce.

Heat the oven to 180 ° C and cook the meatballs for 35-40 minutes.

Serve the meatballs in a tomato-swept sauce with mashed potatoes or any other side dish.
