The “secret” to quick cooking beets

And it is not at all about the complexity of the preparation: preparing these dishes takes a lot of time, which any modern housewife appreciates, because it takes several hours to cook beets.

However, there is a proven method that will speed up the preparation of the necessary ingredient several times.

To quickly cook the root vegetable, put the beets in a saucepan and pour water. There should be a lot of liquid – it should cover the beets by about 8 centimeters. Send the vegetables to a high heat, without covering the pan with a lid.

After 15 minutes have passed, open the cold water tap and place the pan with the beets under ice water for 10-15 minutes. Thanks to the sharp temperature difference, the vegetables will soon be ready.
