Kiwi contains a high amount of potassium, so its consumption is useful for some forms of hypertension. The fruit reduces the risk of developing cancer and reduces the likelihood of blood clots. The value of kiwi for human health is undeniable, but peeling the fruit is not a quick matter. There is one simple way to speed up this procedure. You will no longer need a knife to peel the kiwi.
How to do it
Kiwi is placed in a deeper container and poured with boiling water. The fruit is left in the water for 30 seconds – no longer.
After that, the boiling water is drained and cold water is immediately poured into the container with the kiwi – the colder, the better.
After all the manipulations, the skin from the fruit can be removed easily and simply, like the skin from potatoes boiled in their jackets.
The method is perfect for cases when it is necessary to preserve the integrity of the fruit, for example, for decorating desserts or slicing fruit.
