The Sun: Doctors named 8 signs of cancer in men

On the pages of The Sun, doctors talked about what signs should alert men and be a reason to see a doctor.

Experts noted that men die on average 6 years earlier than women, and a certain proportion of male deaths are preventable. In particular, men are more likely to die from cancers whose symptoms were detected too late and treatment was started too late. Doctors advised men not to ignore the following signs that may be associated with cancer: Painful urination – a possible sign of developing prostate cancer; Enlarged testicles and lumps on them– in fact, any changes in the testicles should be alarming, as they may be a sign of cancer;

blood in the urine is one of the body's warning signals about bladder or kidney cancer;

blood in the stool is a possible sign of a tumor in the intestine;

skin changes on the penis – the appearance of rashes, spots, and thickening of the skin on the genital organ should make any man consult a doctor without hesitation, whether it is necessary or not;

fluid discharge from the nipples – the presence of such fluid may be a sign of breast cancer, which also affects men. Other symptoms include nipple pain, rash, and lumps in the armpits;

Persistent heartburn – may be a symptom of throat or stomach cancer;

Unexplained weight loss – this sign signals the development of cancer in most cases, and in men it often manifests itself when tumors of the pancreas, stomach, esophagus, or lungs occur.
