The usual drink turned out to be an effective means for hair growth

Hair loss and thinning are considered a normal phenomenon , which often occurs with age. Although no treatment is 100% effective, one common drink has given scientists new hope.
Hair loss occurs when the natural cycle of hair growth changes. It includes three phases-androgen (hair growth), catagen (transition phase) and telogen (hair loss).
Two hormones, testosterone and dihydrotestosterone, can slow down the hair growth phase and increase hair loss, Express reports.
Some studies have shown that the catechin EGCG, which is a natural phenol and antioxidant, can inhibit the action of these hormones and significantly reduce the problem. But the main advantage is that the most EGCG is found in green tea.
In a small study, scientists rubbed an extract of EGCG obtained from green tea into the scalp of participants in an experiment with alopecia. After four days, all volunteers showed a significant increase in hair growth activity.
According to experts, this effect is due to the fact that EGCG stimulates hair follicles and prevents skin damage.
