Studies show that three groups of foods can increase life expectancy “over ten years.” According to him, scientists analyzed how foods ranging from fruits and vegetables to processed meats and sugar-sweetened beverages affect life expectancy. As a result, they identified various groups of foods that are especially useful for longevity.
These foods are called grains, legumes, and nuts by experts.
“Adhering to a diet that includes legumes, whole grain foods, nuts, as well as less red and processed meat, refined grains and sugar-sweetened beverages, can increase the life expectancy of those who start following it as early as possible by more than ten years, – this is the opinion experts.
Also, scientists have calculated that if men and women aged 60 start to follow a healthy diet, their life expectancy may increase by eight years. According to them, even 80-year-old people can benefit from eating foods that increase life expectancy, thanks to such food they can live an additional 3.4 years.
