Commenting on the situation at the front and deterring the offensive of Russian troops in the east of Ukraine, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer that the situation in the east of Ukraine will remain difficult for at least a month. However, there will be no Armageddon.
He noted that Ukrainian troops are doing everything to minimize Russia's successes. At the same time, the head of the GUR added that the war should move to the territory of Russia with the help of long-range UAVs.
“I advocated this from the first days of the war, openly declaring that as long as the war is localized on our territory, it will not affect Russia. That is why we started conducting significant operations on Russian territory from the spring of 2022, and we will go further, the more resources we have for this. And Russia began to feel it,” said Kyrylo Budanov.
