These foods really protect against cancer

Eating healthy foods and avoiding fast food really does reduce the risk of cancer. There is convincing evidence to support this.
One of the largest studies ever conducted on this issue has confirmed that eating healthy foods reduces the risk of cancer. Foods high in salt, sugar and fat increase the number of tumors by 11%, compared to people who prefer a healthy diet. These are the results of observations of almost half a million adults in the UK. The researchers used a traffic light system for assessing the usefulness of food, which was just introduced in Europe, in which green light means products that are necessary for health, yellow – relatively useful, and red – absolutely unnecessary and harmful.
The foods that flashed red included cakes, biscuits, puddings, lasagna, tomato ketchup, as well as red and processed meat. The results of the observations showed that people who ate foods with a green light were less likely to have tumors, especially of the stomach and intestines. It is known that the likelihood of malignant neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract depends largely on a person's diet and weight, which was confirmed by this study.
But lovers of foods with a red light were more likely to have tumors of the intestines, upper digestive tract and stomach. Men were more likely to develop lung cancer, while women were more likely to develop liver tumors and postmenopausal breast cancer, according to a study by French scientists from the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM).
