These foods will cause you to get blood clots

The British Journal of Haematology notes that inflammation can lead to blood clots and clotting. Therefore, it is better not to have too many foods that cause inflammation.

It has been scientifically proven that blood clotting can occur due to inflammatory processes in the body. Although the inflammatory process has not been fully studied to date.

It is also known that metabolic dysfunction (insulin resistance) occurs due to improper nutrition, and then obesity develops.

As noted by Dr. Ariusz Mozaffarian, dean of the Gerald and Dorothy Friedman School of Dietetics and Nutrition Strategy at Tufts University, the main foods that are best avoided are those that contain a lot of starch, salt and sugar.

And the most harmful foods in a person's diet are carbonated drinks and sweets. If you want something sweet, then instead of them it is better to eat ice cream, dark chocolate, nuts with honey, fruit or another product that has nutritional value, says the expert.

Since carbonated drinks are high in sugar, this leads to impaired blood clotting. High blood sugar levels not only cause new blood clots to form, but also dissolve old ones.

In addition, sweets are foods that contribute to excessive plaque buildup in blood vessels. When these plaques become inflamed or extremely fragile, they can rupture and lead to the formation of a blood clot.
