Ultra-processed foods. These products can nullify all your attempts to lose weight. Ultra-processed foods can also contribute to heart disease, diabetes, and blood sugar spikes. As the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics notes, these can include crackers, potato chips, fast food, instant meals, and more.
Low-fiber foods. The fact is that fiber is essential for weight loss. Among the foods that contain very little fiber, experts identify refined white bread, white pasta, farina, dry cereals, hard cheese, milk, soup puree, raw salad, and cucumbers.
Processed meat. This meat is high in saturated fats, and it is recommended to consume these fats in moderation. It is also known that such meat can lead to inflammation in the body, which will contribute to weight gain. Healthier alternatives to processed meat include lean meats like turkey or chicken breast.
