Scientists have questioned the effectiveness of intermittent fasting. Researchers from Johns Hopkins University say that the traditional diet, consisting of small portions, is the best way to lose weight.
With intermittent fasting, you need to eat only at certain times of the day, for example, from 10:00 to 18:00, and then fast. To test the effectiveness of this approach to nutrition, researchers tracked the health of nearly 550 adults.
The researchers concluded that there was no link between eating at specific times and weight. Instead, the total number of large and medium meals per day of more or less 1,000 calories, respectively, was associated with weight.
