How to reduce the level of acidity
Summer residents have a choice of three options means It can be dolomite flour, chalk or lime. The rates of application to the soil are different.
Lime is applied from 200 to 500 g per 1 sq.m. depending on the acidity, which can be less than pH 4.5 or above 5.5. The more acidic the soil, the more lime is needed.
According to the same principle, dolomite flour is applied in the amount of 300 to 500 g per 1 sq.m. For chalk, the norm is from 200 to 700 g per 1 sq.m.
