Three rules for successfully rooting houseplant cuttings

The desire to propagate houseplants is inherent in every florist. After all, summer residents also sometimes come across valuable cuttings that need to be preserved and germinate. Everything will be fine if you follow simple but important rules.

Natural selection. Cuttings can be taken exclusively from plants that do not have signs of diseases, fungal infections and pests. The material for cuttings should be strong and healthy.

Preparation. At this stage, you need to take your time and let the cut dry. Small specimens may need 20 minutes, and larger cuttings 1-2 hours. This will reduce the risk of infection with pathogenic bacteria in the future.

Capacity. Germination should be done in an opaque container. Thanks to this rule, roots appear much faster.
