Ukrainians should not expect peace and relax anytime soon, says GUR representative Yusov

There is no need to wait for the end of the war, everyone needs to work on it at their own level.

This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, in the issue of “Blausch Digest” on Monday, February 10.

Yusov noted that predictions about the end of the war have a right to exist, but for now they remain only predictions without any support from facts. According to him, Ukrainians should not just wait for peace.

“We should not wait, we should work hard on this. And such work is underway. Ukrainian political and military leadership, Ukrainian diplomats, including the public sector, cultural diplomacy, non-governmental public organizations are actively working on this. And yes, our partners are working too,” Yusov said.

The GUR representative stressed that one can agree with the words of US President Donald Trump about the need for peace, since a great tragedy is occurring as a result of Russian aggression. Ukraine is facing important events in the near future, such as the Munich Security Conference, and not only that, which should bring good news, Yusov said.

“The main events continue to take place on the battlefield, and we should not forget about this… We should not relax. We cannot afford to sit in front of the TV and wait for good news. Good news must be made,” Yusov stressed.
