Undercooked meat has been called a risk factor for a fatal disease

Undercooked or raw m' food is a major risk factor for parasitic infections such as trichinellosis, salmonella and listeria. But scientists have found an even closer connection between the consumption of raw meat and health risks.
James Hodge from the American Cancer Society and Anna Coghill from the Cancer Center in Florida conducted research. More than 750 people from the USA and Norway took part in it.
As a result of scientific work, it was found that raw meat and dirty water contain a parasite that causes serious harm to health.
It is about toxoplasma (T. gondii). It can provoke the appearance of a cyst and inflammation in the brain. Scientists also claim that the parasite can be transmitted from mother to child during pregnancy. Its penetration into the body, in turn, often leads to gliomas (tumors).
Thus, experts concluded, raw meat is directly related to a rare form of brain cancer in humans. However, scientists noted that this is not an absolute risk, as too few studies have been conducted at the moment!
