Unusual preparation of radish: pickled with pears and garlic

Radishes are a healthy root vegetable. Their slightly spicy taste is a special feature. Radish salads are delicious with both oil and sour cream. You can also make pickled radishes. It even sounds original and unconventional. If you haven't tried it yet, then try it.

Ingredients

You will need the following products for cooking:

  • radish — 1 kg;
  • ripe pears — 3 pcs.;
  • garlic — 300 g;
  • salt — 100 g;
  • ginger;
  • green onion;
  • parsley;
  • ground red hot pepper.

How to cook

The radish should be washed, peeled and cut into thin slices. Or better yet, cut it into strips 2 cm wide right away. Also cut the pear into strips, and a small bunch of green onions into 3 cm long pieces. It remains to chop a small piece of ginger and garlic.

Salt the radish. Distribute the salt, because you need it a little at different stages. Stir it a little, rub it so that it starts to release juice. Add hot pepper, parsley and pears. Put it in a container in which everything will be cooked.

After 1 hour, pour the mixture with salted water, add green onions, garlic and ginger mixture as well. Cover with a lid. You need to put something heavy on top and send the structure to a cool place.

The radish will be salted until the liquid stops foaming. Then you can take a sample. Delicious!
