Vanilla will protect strawberries and raspberries from pests

Tasty strawberries and raspberries attract a variety of insects, especially when the temperature outside is above 20 degrees. If you do not want to use chemicals against pests, try to scare away uninvited guests in time so that they do not spoil your berry harvest. The smell of the confectionery ingredient is an effective way to repel insect pests.

Vanilla has properties that repel many insects, by the way, both garden pests and humans. Therefore, use it in both cases.

But there is one BUT – you need to use natural vanilla, and not the synthetic flavoring that is sold in stores. To create an effective insect repellent, you can use pod pulp, dried fruits, ready-made vanilla extract in capsules.

Dissolve 2 tbsp. in 250 ml of warm water. l. vanilla, strain and sprinkle it on strawberries and raspberries in the morning or evening. The tool is not at all harmful to people, so you can do it several times – as needed.
