Wet sponge cake with pumpkin infused is the perfect autumn dessert, combining the delicate texture of sponge cake and rich pumpkin flavor Thanks to pumpkin impregnation, the dough becomes even more juicy and fragrant, creating an atmospheric dessert for any autumn occasion.
Ingredients for sponge cake:
- 4 eggs
- 150 g of sugar
- 150 g of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- Pinch of salt
< p>For pumpkin impregnation:
- 200 g of pumpkin puree
- 50 g of sugar
- 100 ml of water
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- Cinnamon or ginger to taste
First prepare the biscuit. Beat eggs with sugar until thick foam is formed. Add sifted flour with baking powder and a pinch of salt, mix gently with a spatula.
Pour the dough into a mold and bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
While the biscuit is baking , prepare pumpkin impregnation. Mix the pumpkin puree with water, sugar, lemon juice and spices, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the finished biscuit from the oven, let it cool a little, and then pour the pumpkin infusion. so that it absorbs all the aromas. That's all the preparation, if desired, pour honey or sprinkle with chocolate shavings and you can immediately taste it with tea.
