Mostly beets are simply boiled in water. It is then used in salads, appetizers, first courses. But it can be prepared even easier and tastier. With this recipe, you will no longer want the usual boiled beet, because it turns out fragrant, juicy and bright.
What you need for cooking
Choose beet fruits for baking. The smaller they are, the faster they will cook. Wash the root vegetables under running water and dry them a little with a paper towel.
Grease a piece of foil with vegetable oil and salt. If you want to get a more interesting taste, add your favorite spices: a mixture of Italian herbs, basil or oregano, dried dill and garlic, ginger. Each beet should be wrapped in foil separately. Pour a little water inside and tightly close such a vegetable package.
Cook in a well-heated oven at a temperature of 180 °C. Usually 50-60 minutes are enough for the beets to be completely roasted. Readiness can be checked with a wooden skewer.
Such beets will have a richer taste in combination with spices. It is ideal for original salads, as well as as a side dish for meat dishes. Delicious!
