Neurologist: some products are well known doctors as triggers for headaches and migraine attacks.
The neurologist explained in an interview that people prone to headaches and migraines need to carefully monitor what is in their diet. In particular, they should consume alcoholic beverages with great caution.
“Red wine provokes attacks more strongly than other types of alcoholic beverages,” the doctor clarified.
Also, the specialist added, the occurrence of migraines can provoke caffeine – there is a lot of it in coffee, tea, energy drinks, chocolate.
“The sugar substitute aspartame and the taste enhancer glutamate can also cause migraine attacks,” the doctor added.
In addition, the head can get sick after eating cheese. Some of its varieties (for example, cheddar or cheese with mold) contain tyramine – a substance formed during the breakdown of protein, capable of narrowing blood vessels. As a result, it causes a headache.
