What foods should not be combined according to doctors

These products in certain combinations can have a negative impact on health, doctors warn.

White flour pastries and jam, jam. A bun with jam or white bread toast with jam is a familiar combination, isn't it? However, this combination, according to doctors, should be avoided. Simple carbohydrates – both in white bread and jam – cause sharp fluctuations in blood sugar and insulin levels, which increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Burger and beer. They should also not be consumed together – such a combination greatly slows down digestion and metabolism. The body first breaks down alcohol, and then fat, which begins to settle in deposits on the stomach and thighs.

Lentils and red wine. With such a combination, iron absorption is significantly inhibited – this is explained by the fact that plant tannins contained in red wine impair the absorption of plant iron in the body.

Alcohol and caffeine. Many people think that caffeine helps to sober up, but in fact it weakens the sedative properties of alcohol and has a specific effect on brain function. According to a study by scientists from Temple University, a person may feel less drunk than they actually are. As a result, they may drink more.

Black tea and milk. Scientists state that milk completely negates the anti-inflammatory effect of black tea. Milk proteins bind the antioxidants contained in tea, thus preventing them from being absorbed by the body. In turn, the caffeine in tea prevents the absorption of calcium from milk.
