What foods should you never put in the freezer?

If you use the freezer correctly, the products will stay fresh longer, and it will be easier for you to prepare various dishes. But there are some products that cannot be frozen at all.

So, what products should you absolutely not store in the freezer? First of all, these are raw eggs in the shell. An egg is 75% water, and water expands when frozen. Therefore, the shell will simply crack during freezing. This will lead to airing and the appearance of bacteria inside the egg. If you still need to leave the eggs in the freezer for a while, then beat them until smooth before placing them in an airtight container.

The next products that should not be put in the freezer are dairy products. These include milk (in general, it can be frozen, but for a maximum of 10 days), yogurt, sour cream, cheeses (it is absolutely not recommended to freeze suluguni, cottage cheese, cream cheese, blue cheese varieties).

In addition, it is not recommended to put thawed meat back in the freezer. The fact is that in this case there is a possibility that the protein in the meat will be completely destroyed. And such meat can also be harmful to your health because there may be a lot of bacteria. You should also not refreeze thawed seafood and fish.

You should not store products such as lettuce, fruits, and vegetables in the freezer (it is especially dangerous to freeze tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, radishes, pears, watermelons, melons, apples, onions, and garlic).
