Details
To prepare, you will need:
- potatoes – 800 g;
- milk – 400 ml;
- salt to taste;
- butter to taste;
- fresh herbs.
How to cook
Peel the potatoes, cut into quarters, or if they are large, into smaller pieces.
Then cover with water and cook for 10 minutes.
Drain the water. Pour the milk into a separate bowl, heat it up, and pour over the potatoes.
Immediately add salt, stir, and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
You need to cook it over low heat under the lid, otherwise the milk will burn or run out.
The potatoes in the milk will not fall apart, but each quarter will be soft.
At the end of cooking, you can open the pan so that the milk evaporates a little, and when everything is ready, add the butter, let it stand for 5 minutes, and serve, sprinkled with finely chopped fresh herbs on top.
