What happens if you mix semolina with applesauce: a trick for those who don't like semolina

Few children are loyal to semolina. Most often, this dish becomes the cause of whims. But when you need to eat it, and you no longer have the strength to force it, you can use a culinary trick and prepare a stunning apple mousse – in fact, the same semolina, only in a different form.

To prepare it, you need:

  • Apples – 500 g;
  • Semolina – 3 tbsp. l;
  • Water – 500 ml;
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp. l;
  • Sugar 100 gr.

How to cook

Wash the apples, remove the skin, seeds and cut into medium slices.

Bring the water to a boil, put the apples in it and cook them for about 5-7 minutes, adding a little lemon juice, otherwise the apples will turn yellow and the mousse will not be aesthetic.

When ready, remove the apples with a slotted spoon.< /p>

Leave the water in the pan and add the semolina and cook the porridge for 7 minutes, stirring.

Grind the apples into a puree with a blender, add sugar, transfer the puree to the pan with the semolina, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, then beat everything with a blender to a light homogeneous mass.

The finished mousse can be decorated with fresh berries or fruit, pouring it into glasses.

Keep it in the refrigerator for 3 hours to infuse and serve to the table.

Delicious!
