What in ordinary life prevents you from losing weight? A nutritionist from Germany explains

In ordinary life, chronic lack of sleep, inactivity, lack of healthy fats in the diet and other features prevent people from losing weight and even contribute to weight gain, said Dr. Andrea Schmidt, a nutritionist from Germany.

What in Dietitian from Germany explains

The dietitian said that in ordinary life it prevents most of us from losing weight. The expert named regular lack of sleep as one of the reasons. According to Schmidt, if a person sleeps less than 7 hours a day, his body produces more of the hormone ghrelin. A high level of ghrelin makes us feel an increased appetite, inhibits metabolism, and the breakdown of fats.

Also, a nutritionist from Germany advises to avoid morning stress – in particular, not to set the alarm clock too loud and harsh. Under the influence of stress, the stress hormone cortisol begins to be more actively produced, due to which the body “burns” muscles for energy production, and not fat – as a result, it makes it difficult to lose weight.

Dr. Schmidt noted that the release of cortisol in the morning can also occur due to the habit of drinking coffee first after sleep. After waking up, it is best to drink a glass of warm water, the nutritionist emphasizes.

Skipping meals is a common occurrence in the lives of many people who are busy with work and affairs. It also prevents us from losing weight or leads to obesity altogether, because it slows down the process of burning fat in the body for energy production.

The enemies of a slim figure are inactivity and a lack of healthy fats. According to the recommendations of a nutritionist, up to 30% of the daily amount of calories should be given to the body by healthy food sources of fat – for this, you should eat avocados, nuts, olive oil, linseed oil, fatty fish such as mackerel or herring.
