What “interesting” things can be prepared from cabbage

White cabbage contains more vitamin C than lemon, and in addition, it is rich in vitamins A, B, E, K, calcium, potassium and magnesium. The vegetable is especially valued for its large amount of fiber and low calorie content – only 20 kilocalories in 100 grams. What can you cook from cabbage, apart from popular dishes?
- Casserole. Take 200 g of cabbage, one egg, 3 tbsp. l. kefir, 1 tbsp. l. corn starch, oil, parsley, ground black pepper, salt. Cabbage should be chopped, salted and crushed by hand, add chopped parsley and other ingredients, mix. Put the mixture in an oiled mold and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C. Five minutes before removing from the oven, sprinkle with grated cheese and wait for a golden crust to form. Casserole can be eaten both warm and cold.
- Cabbage steaks. You need a small head of cabbage, a couple of cloves of garlic, olive oil, salt, ground black pepper. We cut the cabbage into slices 2-3 cm thick, then blanch it – soak it in boiling salted water for a minute and take it out, spreading it on a paper towel. Cover the form with parchment, lay out the cabbage, sprinkle it with olive oil, spread chopped garlic on top, pepper, and a little salt. Cabbage steaks are baked at 180 ° C for about 40 minutes. Such cabbage is served as a side dish or as an independent dish with greens.
