Stormy weather can be dangerous. That's why it's extremely important to remember a few things to avoid when thunder is heard outside and lightning is visible.
What not to do during a thunderstorm
Do not keep windows, apartments or doors wide open. All electrical appliances must be unplugged, whether you use them or not.
Mobile phones must not be used as they can attract lightning. Do not turn on the radio, TV, computer or other electrical appliances during a thunderstorm. It is forbidden to come into contact with water and take a shower, bath or wash dishes in stormy weather.
Be careful and stay as far as possible from potentially dangerous places. Do not stand near windows, doors and balconies. Also, do not be close to sockets and hold metal objects in your hands.
It is advisable not to use lights, as there is a risk of lightning striking power lines, which can lead to voltage surges in the network. This will lead to the breaking of electrical appliances or, even worse, to electrocution. It is better to use a flashlight or candles during a thunderstorm.
In no case do not go outside during a thunderstorm, and if you live in a building, do not use the elevator. If you follow these rules, you will be able to protect your life and health during a thunderstorm.
