What should not be turned on via an extension cord: an electrician named seven dangerous household appliances

Electrical appliances with a heating element, such as heaters, deep fryers, and microwaves, should never be connected to extension cords or power supplies. Such recklessness threatens with troubles such as fires.
Electrician and owner of Electrified NYC Paul Martinez explained in a comment to cnet that appliances with a capacity of 1,500 watts or more should always be plugged into an outlet.
If extension cords are connected to appliances with heating elements, this can lead to overheating, ignition and, ultimately, a fire if not paid attention to in time.
The electrician named seven household appliances that should not be connected to an extension cord.
Fryers
Deep fryers are great for quickly cooking and reheating food, but they shouldn’t be plugged into extension cords or power strips. While the wattage of deep fryers varies by size, large deep fryers can draw up to 2,000 watts, making them a fire hazard if plugged into an extension cord.
Microwave Ovens
If you’re looking for a place to plug in your microwave in your kitchen, this is another powerful appliance that needs to be plugged into an outlet due to its high wattage.
Extension Cords
Plugging extension cords into other extension cords is another big no-no. This practice, known as “daisy-chaining,” can cause the circuit to overheat, causing the cords to overheat and start a fire.
Heaters
Electric heaters have long been known to be a leading cause of fires. The Consumer Product Safety Commission previously estimated that portable heaters caused 1,700 fires per year between 2017 and 2019, with some of those fires resulting in fatalities.
Toasters
Although toasters are less powerful kitchen appliances, they use a lot of energy and can cause a fire if plugged into an extension cord. Refrigerators
Although refrigerators use less power – 300 to 800 watts – than some other kitchen appliances, it is still not recommended to plug them into an extension cord because they are constantly running. Even if an extension cord does not cause a fire when plugged into a refrigerator, there is a chance that it could cause the appliance to break down.
