Try to cook at home

Food prepared in cafes and especially fast food restaurants is usually oversaturated with sodium. Most of us already regularly exceed the safe daily dose of salt, which is bad for our health, so why take additional risks? In addition, cooking yourself guarantees that all the products will be fresh and balanced – but with ready-made food, unfortunately, there can be no such certainty.

Give up processed meat

We all need protein, including animal protein, but let's get it from boiled or baked meat and poultry! Processed meat is very high in salt, and the substances used to extend the shelf life of sausages, sausages, and other smoked products can increase the risk of developing colon cancer.

Eat more fiber

Another useful substance that we chronically lack is fiber. But without useful dietary fiber, our digestive system cannot function properly! Therefore, be sure to eat fresh vegetables, legumes, and fiber-rich whole grains.

Don't be afraid of sweets

Hidden sugar is, of course, our enemy, but this is not a reason to completely give up sweets. Firstly, one favorite dessert eaten once a week will bring much more benefits than the stress caused by giving up your favorite treats. And, secondly, sweet dried fruits and especially dark chocolate are very beneficial for health and normal brain function.
