A popular method of propagation of various crops among the people is cuttings, for which the branches are left in a special solution until the roots appear. At the same time, various activators are used, for which inexperienced summer residents go to stores, and knowledgeable ones do it themselves. The summer residents told about one additive, thanks to which even a grape vine will take root.
What to add to the water
In order for the cuttings to take root before the branch simply starts to rot, you need to add natural honey to the water.
As for other crops, with the help of honey, their rooting occurs several times faster than with the traditional method.
What honey to use
Gardeners in one voice claim that only flower honey should be used for rooting.
The fact is that it contains biogenic stimulants and phytohormones, while analogues prepared on the basis of sugar syrup do not contain such substances.
As a result, honey acts as a natural hormone and fungicide, which promotes the active development of the lower appendages, while simultaneously disinfecting the cut.
How to prepare the solution
There is no consensus, and according to different sources, 1 st. l. honey can be used both for 200 g of water and for a whole bucket.
But honey must be dissolved in warm water (a small amount), and then mixed with the main volume.
In only the lower part of the cutting is soaked in the solution for no more than a day. The structure is covered with a polyethylene bag from above.
Grapes can stand for 2 days, and they are completely immersed in honey solution.
