What to do with a store-bought dracaena when you bring it home

Plants from flower shops need to be prepared for home cultivation. It is not recommended to simply put the pot on the windowsill and wait for a miracle and growth. In order for the plant to adapt, you need to help it with this. Read more about this in the post.

What to do with a store-bought dracaena

We start as standard by removing the plant from the pot. You need to free the roots from the old soil. At the same time, you need to straighten it to clean it of any rot that may have formed there.

Transplant into a new pot. Dracaena likes small pots. This helps it to grow its root system better. Place a drainage layer on the bottom. Also make the soil loose. You can add mineral stones to it.

Please note that dracaena does not like stagnant water and frequent spraying. This plant does not respond well to excessive moisture at all. The soil should dry out between waterings. Help the plant adapt. You will see how quickly it will grow.
