What to do with garlic arrows: cut off or pull out
1
Arrow garlic is a peduncle. It should be removed immediately as soon as it is formed. If this is not done, the plant will put all its energy there, and not into the formation of large heads of garlic. Still, the culture will always give important nutrients to the shoots.

If you cut off the shoot too early, it will still continue to grow as a result. The procedure should be carried out after the appearance of rings. At the same time, experienced gardeners advise not to cut off, but rather to pull out the arrow.
It is necessary to grasp the arrow at the base where the stem enters, and then slowly pull it up. You should not try to pull it to the side, otherwise it will simply break off.
Also, summer residents note that a week after harvesting the arrows, you need to tie the top of the top into a knot. Such a procedure is necessary to reduce the flow of nutrients to the tops.
