Incredible beauty – hydrangea blooms are so beautiful that the hand does not rise to throw them away. And you don't have to do that. There is a wonderful way, what exactly can be done with them. Florists talked about preserving hydrangeas for decorative purposes.
How to do it
You can make incredible bouquets from hydrangea flowers. For this, cut flowers need to be stabilized. The stem should be cut at an angle of 45 degrees. In a container convenient for you, mix 150 ml of glycerin and 300 ml of water.
The leaves must be removed from the stem. Place in the prepared solution for 8 hours. Such hydrangea will last longer in bouquets. But not everyone follows this rule. There are many reviews that twigs with inflorescences simply dry out. They can stand in decoration for at least a year, and nothing happens to them either.
There is also a method of application that is not related to decoration in any way. Dry caps of hydrangeas can be used with benefit for plants, if decorativeness is not very important to you. They can be used to mulch the hydrangea bushes themselves for the winter. They will protect against low temperatures and wind no worse than other mulching materials.
