Gardeners approach the plot planning responsibly, because competent planting of plants can lead to an increase in yield.
Details
The apple tree, like other crops, has both good and bad “neighbors”. If you plant only the first ones next to the tree, you can solve several issues at once. The apple tree will get sick less often, will produce more, and the pests will retreat.
Good “neighbors” of the apple tree can be divided into three groups. First of all, there are plants that should be planted next to this fruit tree. These include:
- lupine;
- calendula;
- dill;
- cucumbers;
- peas;
- legumes;
- marigolds;
- radish;
- peonies.
The “second tier” plants include:
- sorrel;
- various varieties of basil;
- barberry;
- spirea.
There are plants , which experienced summer residents do not recommend planting next to an apple tree. The list is not so long, so it will be easy to remember:
- mint;
- onion;
- parsley;
- sage;
- rose.
Thus, competent plot planning is the key to a good apple harvest.
