One-year-old or two-year-old seedlings should be chosen. Pay attention to the roots, they should be thick, with 2-3 lignified shoots. Length — from 40 cm. The buds should not be loose.
Dig the place where the currant will grow, add humus and ash. Humus is applied in the proportion of 1.5-2 buckets per one square meter. And you need 0.5 kg of ash.
Dig hole 2 by 1.5 m. Add fertilizer. Pour 1 bucket of water. Place the plant in the center of the hole at an angle of 45°, so new roots and shoots will grow better. Sprinkle with earth and tamp. Make sides around the pit. Cut the shoots, leaving only 4-5 buds on each. Make a watering hole around the bush.
