When is it okay to drive after drinking?

We all have different bodies. Therefore, it processes alcohol at different speeds. It may also depend on factors such as weight, height, gender, and the amount of food you have drunk or eaten.

If you already understand that you have drunk too much to get behind the wheel, then you will have to be patient. The fact is that alcohol is eliminated from the body at an average rate of one unit (10 g of pure alcohol) per hour.

Therefore, if you drank in the evening, you will completely get rid of alcohol only after 10 or more hours. And only after that you will be able to drive a car.

Unfortunately, there is no way to speed up the process of eliminating alcohol from the body. Not even a cup of coffee or a cold shower will help. Yes, you may feel different after these rituals, but you will not get rid of alcohol.

It is best if you are going to be behind the wheel to give up alcohol altogether. After all, even a small amount of what you drink can affect your ability to drive.
