Zucchini, zucchini, and pumpkins are popular crops for growing in beds, but for some reason you hear about squash much less often. It's a pity, because they are no less interesting and tasty fruits.
The reduced popularity may be due to a lower yield compared to the same zucchini and due to the pickiness of growing conditions. Zucchini, pumpkins and zucchini are simpler in this respect.
When to harvest
Squash grow quite quickly. You won't have to wait a long time for harvesting either, because it is customary to remove the fruits when they are not ripe.
Young squashes have a thin skin, and the middle is seedless. This is the best stage for cooking.
When you see that the fruits have grown to 7-12 cm in diameter, you can remove them. The harvest grows 2-3 times a week. It must be cut together with the stalk.
