There is a problem with ready-made meals in supermarkets – they are most often prepared from cheap and not very fresh ingredients. Stores are doing this to reduce waste and use products that would otherwise go bad.
That's why the expert urged people to avoid pre-made salads and sushi at their local grocery store.
Salads get soggy very quickly and no longer taste like fresh food,” the expert noted. “Sushi is raw fish, and freshness is one of the key factors in its quality.”
Another nutritionist also said that he avoids buying pre-made guacamole and mashed potatoes like the plague.
