Why broccoli should be eaten raw: the doctor explains

The doctor states, that raw broccoli protects the body more effectively from cancer.
In an interview with an endocrinologist, a recommendation was made to eat broccoli that has not undergone heat treatment.
“It is ideal not to cook at all, and eat broccoli raw. It may sound unusual, but it's just cabbage,” the expert said.
At the same time, the content of sulforaphane in broccoli is determined by whether the product was cooked or not. The doctor emphasized that heating destroys this anti-cancer ingredient.
Speaking of the fact that it is better to eat broccoli raw, the doctor recommends doing it this way. Cabbage florets should be broken into fragments at least an hour before eating – this promotes the active release of sulforaphane. For the same purpose, it is useful to chew the product thoroughly.
If it is impossible to eat broccoli in its raw form, the vegetable can be blanched or lightly boiled.
