Why “cunning” gardeners don’t throw away banana peels
0
After eating a banana, an inedible peel remains. In the vast majority of cases, it is sent to the trash can as food waste. However, sometimes it makes sense to save the peel, especially if the fruit lover is also a gardener. The fact is that you can make an effective top dressing based on banana peels. However, other ingredients will be needed for the remedy.
How to prepare the top dressing
The banana peel needs to be turned into powder. To do this, the peel of four fruits should be dried and sent to a food processor along with the shells of three eggs.
The resulting loose mass should be transferred to another container, and then a tablespoon of magnesia should be added to it.
After adding a fairly large volume of clean liquid, you will get a top dressing that needs to be used on the garden bed.
There are two options for use. You can pour drops of the prepared product over the garden crops. Or you can water at the root.
Results
The plant will receive a considerable amount of important trace elements and nutrients. First of all, this is potassium, the source of which is the banana peel. In addition, the peel, together with the shell, will increase the calcium content in the soil cover.
As a result, the plant will not encounter a deficiency of necessary components in the soil and will demonstrate good growth.
