Expectations do not always coincide with reality. The same can happen with raspberries. At the stage of ripening, they can dry out. Experts named the main reasons why such an inconvenience can happen.
Why do berries dry
If this happened, you need to look for the reason. This is a serious matter. Modern varieties are quite resistant to various diseases and pests, so dried berries must have an unambiguous reason. This can be:
- insufficient watering of raspberry bushes;
- fungal diseases;
- infestation of bushes by pests (galica);
- low nutrition (deficiency of nitrogen, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese);
- potassium excess;
- high soil acidity.
Mistakes in care and pruning, feeding can create too comfortable conditions for raspberry bushes. This will manifest itself in the fact that they will not be able to bear fruit in the required phase of development and maturity.
