Why does everyone say the phrase “everything is clear”: how to say it correctly in Ukrainian

Ukrainians quite often use the phrase “everything is clear” in colloquial speech, not knowing that it is a carbon copy of the Russian language. Most often, the word “clear” is used in the context of understanding information, in the sense of “understandable”. When Ukrainians want to confirm that they have understood the information, they say “everything is clear.”
But this is an incorrect use of the word “clearly”, a tracing from Russian. In Ukrainian, the word “clear” has a different meaning, more precisely, it is an adverb formed from the adjective clear. The word “bright” is used when talking about an illuminated place or a space where light is present. Variants of this word can be the words “light” or “visible”.
How to say “everything is clear” correctly in Ukrainian
To confirm the information you have understood, there are a number of Ukrainian words in the Ukrainian language words and phrases that reflect this meaning. It is possible and correct to say:
- “of course”— a universal option that replaces clearly;
- “of course” is said to confirm an obvious fact;
- “obviously” is said about something so clear that there is no doubt;
- “naturally” is a word used when something is logical and predictable;
- “certainly” is used most often to express confidence in perceived information.
