In the therapist's interview, the opinion was expressed that during night sleep, the human body must be covered. The doctor, in particular, said that “it is better to sleep covered with a blanket or at least a sheet”.
The specialist explained that when a person is covered, a certain microclimate is created. In the absence of a cover, moisture will evaporate faster from the surface of the body, which can create the effect of dehydration.
It, in turn, slows down metabolic processes, interferes with the cleansing activity that occurs in the body at night. The result of this will be bad health, headache, low energy tone, felt the next day.
In addition, for a healthy sleep, it is important that the bedroom is ventilated – the room should remain open in it, air circulation should take place. The absence of a blanket in such an environment threatens with hypothermia, which can lower immunity.
The doctor clarified that “ideally, the temperature in the bedroom should be between 18 and 22 degrees”.
