Organism does not need to eat soup every day as many people imagine, says a nutritionist.
In her interview, the doctor said that it is not necessary to eat soup every day, if you do not want it – second courses even may be more useful. There is no expressed physiological need in this particular dish. In addition, soup cannot always provide the body with the necessary amount of nutrients.
“A portion of soup contains much less protein and other useful substances than meat and vegetable dishes,” the nutritionist noted.
The doctor also believes that after the soup, the body will quickly start to feel hungry again, and the person starts to snack more often, consuming a large number of calories in the total mass.
According to the expert, if the diet is balanced, the person consumes enough protein, vitamins, minerals, other nutrients, he can do without soup, if he does not gravitate towards this dish.
At the same time, soups are by no means useless, the doctor emphasizes. In cases of many diseases, when the body is weakened or has undergone surgery, doctors prescribe light food, soup is the ideal option.
