Eating chicken eggs can raise your “good” cholesterol, a study has found. Its authors found a connection between a moderate amount of this product and protection against heart disease.
Experts from Peking University believe that chicken eggs are a very useful food product for health. In addition, they increase the level of “good” cholesterol, which is important for protection against atherosclerosis and heart diseases such as heart attacks and strokes.
It should be noted that cardiovascular diseases have been the main killers of mankind for many decades.
Eggs help strengthen brain function and bone health. The effect of eggs on the cardiovascular system has long been studied by scientists. However, only a small number of studies have looked at the role of plasma cholesterol metabolism in relation to the consumption of chicken eggs and how this affects the risk of cardiovascular disease.
4,778 people participated in the study. 3,401 had heart disease at baseline, and 1,377 did not. Moderate consumption of chicken eggs daily has been shown to increase levels of a protein called apolipoprotein A1. It is a “good” lipoprotein, which belongs to the building proteins of “good” cholesterol – high-density lipoproteins.
