Why you shouldn't give knives as gifts: superstition or truth?
0
Folk signs emphasize that you can't give knives as gifts on holidays. Some believe that this is just another superstition, but the roots have a rational approach. It is no secret that dark magic, which still exists in the world, often performs rituals with sharp objects.
That is why knives as a gift can cause warm, friendly/family relationships to be “cut”.
If you give knives for a wedding or housewarming, the family will live as if on knives, that is, in quarrels, misunderstandings.
If you still want to give a useful and practical gift, it is better to give a certificate to a tableware store. A person will be able to choose a present on their own, even the same knives, but this will not mean passing a sharp gift from hand to hand.
Of course, you can be skeptical, but life experience shows that there is often an influence. Coincidence or regularity? We do not know. But it is better not to play with fate and choose gifts that have a positive atmosphere and chatter around them.
