Winter in wartime Ukraine requires special preparation, as there may be power outages, heating, and food supplies. It is important to prepare in advance for unforeseen situations to provide for yourself and your loved ones.
Winter 2024 in wartime can be a challenge, but advance preparation will help you survive even the most difficult moments. NV has prepared a list of essential items that you may need this winter.

Prepare your house for winter in advance. Replace old windows and doors, stock up on warm blankets and rugs that you can use not only to cover yourself, but also to drape over windows to reduce heat loss or to lay on the floor instead of a carpet. A sleeping bag will also come in handy if there is no heating. Stock up on candles, matches, lighters, flashlights, and batteries for them.

First of all, stock up on the medicines that you use frequently. Also stock up on medicines for chronic diseases and traditional medicines (antipyretic, antiviral, activated charcoal, painkillers, plasters, etc.). Prepare bandages, gauze, alcohol wipes. The supply of medicines should be for at least 2-3 weeks.
5. Products
Stock up on frozen, dried and canned preparations, cereals, pasta, salt, tea, sugar for the winter – this is the main ration for a long time. Also buy ready-to-eat food: bread, crackers, cookies in packs, lard, mustard (or any favorite sauce), honey, sweets, candied fruits, nuts and seeds, instant porridges and soups, dried fruits and energy bars. If you have pets, buy food for them for 2-3 weeks.
6. Cosmetics and household chemicals
In case of closed stores, buy detergents, washing powder, soap, shampoo, toilet paper and other chemicals that you use in advance, with a supply for 1-2 months. Also buy face and hand cream, hygienic lipstick, shaving kit and other cosmetics that you use every day.
